― Winston S. Churchill
The Carnegie Historic Museum is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We’d like to keep it there!
Many people and businesses interested in the Museum, both near and far, have contributed to the Museum’s success. In December of 2017, the Carnegie Museum Foundation launched a new membership campaign. Museum member partner in preserving our past by contributing toward our growth, achievements and visibility in the community. Members are essential in helping us on our journey to present new exhibitions, maintain our building, enhance educational programming for all ages and provide access to our unique local history collection.

A third annual adventure for the Carnegie Historical Museum will be to sell 20 Christmas Trees to Honor and Memorialize those who have been lost by their families and friends. With the Christmas season upon us, you might like to take time to remember or honor a loved one with a Christmas Tree in our outdoor display. The Museum Committee will provide the tree, lighting and electricity at the museum location at 112 South Court
Street, Fairfield, IA. The donor family would provide the decoration for the tree to recognize the family member. Photos and other special decorations that are meaningful to the family could be displayed for the Christmas Season. The Carnegie Board will provide appropriate standardized signage to recognize the family member or individual being recognized. Please direct your questions to Dave Neff at 641-919-4640.
