Carding & Spinning Wool

July 30 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

It is FAMILY ROAD TRIP WEEK and the museum will be open for extended hours on July 27 to 31 to encourage families to come in and explore all that the museum has to offer. On Wednesday the 28th and Friday the 30th, families can come in anytime after 12:00 noon and try their hand at carding wool and spinning it into yarn with a drop spindle. (Best for kids 4th grade and up). Therese Cummiskey will be on hand to help you out. Also, the kids will have a chance to take some “historical photos” with a prop or two that will make their visit memorable.
